On August 23rd, 2006 the Private Akdeniz Yukselis Elementary School was opened with a ceremony that was held in the presence of  the governors and the people of  Serik and Antalya . The Private Akdeniz Yukselis Elementary School has 48 teachers consisting of experienced ones from Turkey as well as abroad and 25 other employees.

       In addition to emphasizing the importance of educating the students rather than just instructing them; we guide the students to bring out their individual talents and abilities; and enable them to look at the modern world through a different perspective.

      Children can be admitted to the Private Akdeniz Yukselis Nursery Classes at the age of 4 and so on.  We usually have students aged 4 to 14.

       The basic language of education is Turkish in the elementary education. In addition to the National Education Ministry's curriculum, English lessons are given everyday, starting from the Kindergarden.  Besides, they learn English and German as foreign languages.

       In the nursery and primary classes, the education is directed towards the development of verbal expression. Special methods of working applied in the classrooms ensure that the pupils perceive the languages easily. Students are provided with intense language instructions at each grade level in order to ensure that they develop a positive attitude towards their language and foreign languages, so they  become fluent in English and German as well. Students start to learn English at the Nursery Classes and they improve their English by progress.German as a second foreign language starts from the 3rd grade. Our education program provides our pupils to have a good level of Turkish and English, as well as basic knowledge of German when they finish the elementary school.

         The Private Akdeniz Yukselis Elementary School offers a foreign language instruction that begins with Kindergarden, which responds to different needs.We believethat  the first meeting of the children with the foreign language is important. The characteristic property of the language instruction in Kindergarden and in the first grade is directed towards learning the language by playing games, making out new methods of studying, using the verbal use of the language. Starting from the second Grade level, systematic studying begins with the target language, English .

        Besides a good education, great importance is given to social activities in order to prepare the students for life and enrich them culturally. Comenius Projects, trips, theatre and concert performances, conferences and parties are often held to appeal to their interest.
